An Indian mother, Priyanka Kumari, 25, has chosen not to breastfeed her newborn, claiming the child appears like an ‘alien’ and is ‘cursed.’ The baby, diagnosed with Harlequin Ichthyosis, exhibits an abnormal appearance with a substantial growth on the head and a skin shell, with bulging eyes. The unusual birth event created ripples across the Chakiya district, drawing a curious crowd to the family’s home in Bashghat. While some speculate the child could be a Hindu god’s incarnation, Priyanka and her husband, Balindra Mahto, 34, believe the baby is cursed.
